Bremerton-based Westsound Bank will display the most recent series of The Faces of Bremerton between April 15 and May 20 in its main branch lobby at 6th and Pacific.
The Faces of Bremerton photography project began in 2006 when Glen and Debra Davis, owners of Legendary Portraits in Manette, decided to recognize and celebrate a select group of the people who have contributed to and supported Bremerton. Phase I of the project was featured in Westsound Bank’s branch lobby at 190 Pacific Avenue in 2006 . This recent phase is a continuation of the project.
Glen Davis, photographer for the project, commented, “Having adopted this fine city as our new home, Debra and I thought it would be a great service to the folks we’ve to come to know and show our appreciation for their contributions to the city.” The Faces of Bremerton series will soon be a website and book.
Terry Peterson, president and CEO of Westsound Bank, references the project and Westsound’s support of it by adding that “Westsound Bank enjoys being part of such a thriving and growing community that honors its history. “The project is a fantastic and creative way to recognize the individuals that have helped shape this city and its community.”
Westsound Bank’s Bremerton branch lobby is open to the public Monday thru Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
