Lutheran Community Services set
to establish early memory loss program
Lutheran Community Services NW (LCSNW) has been chosen as one of 11 organizations across the U.S. to establish an innovative early memory loss program. The program will open in January at Silverdale Lutheran Church.

The program in Silverdale, provides an opportunity for people with early memory loss to participate in a program of fun and educational activities, in a welcoming environment. LCSNW joins a network of programs in more than 200 communities in 34 states, which were begun with grants from The Brookdale Foundation Group of New York City.

Trudy Sorenson, Southwest area director of LCSNW, states, “Our program in Silverdale will be open every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We look forward to welcoming people experiencing memory loss to participate in this social and educational program. We are now recruiting volunteers who will help make this a valuable program for those in need of this service for their family members.”
