| You know you cant just dump that old computer monitor in the office dumpster any more to be carted off to a landfill somewhere never to be seen again. So what do you do? The answer is to call Kingstons Olympic Printer Resources, Inc. The firm has been remanufacturing printer, fax and copier cartridges since 1993, and recently teamed with EcycleNW to recycle electronic waste. The firm will pickup and transport selected electronic waste from area business and home locations in Kitsap, North Mason, East Jefferson and Pierce (west of the Narrows Bridge) Counties.
The company has been designated a Green Works Company by Kitsap County for its efforts in recycling and waste prevention, keeping over 11.2 tons of plastic out of landfills with its cartridge remanufacturing efforts. Vice President Jeff Petersen stated, Since we are already delivering printer cartridges all over the local area, it makes it easy for us to pickup E waste for recycling. This provides a needed service for our existing customers and other businesses and families in our community.
The following items will be picked up and handled for a modest fee: Computers, Monitors and Televisions (CRTs must be intact), Stereos, VCRs and DVD Players, Telephones, Answering Machines, Printers, Faxes, Copiers and Cell phones). The items are taken to EcycleNWs processing site where they will are recycled or disassembled into their component parts and then sold to processors certified to adhere to United States export control regulations and restrictions concerning electronic waste.
