Walter Galitzki came to Kitsap County in 1973, after relocating here to take a job with a youth agency. From there he became involved in construction, which led to starting his own construction company, Sun Path Energy in 1983.
Since its inception more than two decades ago, the company has had a special focus on building green, an issue that has always been important to Galitzki.
I was part of the group that put together the Built Green program with the Homebuilders Association, said Galitzki. All our projects are built green and well be building with the Energy Star program shortly.
The company was renamed Sun Path Custom Construction, Inc., in 2006, to more accurately reflect the services the company offers.
We have energy but we provide custom construction, Galitzki said.
Headquartered at Mission Lake, between Belfair and Gorst, the custom home construction company serves both Kitsap and Mason counties.
[I] dont do bridges, so we do not build in Tacoma, Port Ludlow or Bainbridge Island, said Galitzki. We tend to build in the Silverdale/Bremerton/Port Orchard areas, usually view or waterfront.
The company currently employs 15 and usually has three to five projects in development, with an additional six to 10 in various stages of construction. A recent sample of the companys work includes an entrant in the Kitsap Homebuilders Associations 2005 Parade of Homes, a remodeled 1959 waterfront home in Rocky Point, which featured a Red Balau custom deck, radiant in-floor heat, maple and cherry cabinets, marble and granite countertops, fir trims, slate and hardwood floors.
Sun Path Custom Construction works only on custom projects, both new construction and remodels.
We specialize in well designed, carefully built custom homes and renovations, said Galitzki. |
