Toyota Highlander to be auto show prize
Attendees at the Seattle International Auto Show's inaugural black tie gala, ”First Night for Charity,” will have a chance to win a 2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid, which is being donated by the Western Washington Toyota Dealers Association. Joining Seattle International Auto Show manager Jim Hammond with the new Highlander Hybrid are Pam Nelson (left), president of the Puget Sound Automobile Dealers Association and Jasmyn Jefferson, 11, of Tacoma — one of Washington's top students with Junior Achievement. Junior Achievement of Washington is the beneficiary of gala proceeds.

Attendees at the Seattle International Auto Show's inaugural black tie gala, ”First Night for Charity,” Wednesday, Nov. 2, will have a chance to win a 2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid SUV, donated by the Western Washington Toyota Dealers Association.

Proceeds from the event, which runs from 7 to 10 p.m. in all four major indoor venues of the auto show, benefit Junior Achievement of Washington, an organization that provides hands-on learning environments where students are engaged as both employees and consumers in a simulated community. The organization engages volunteers, educators and parents who reach out to more than 100,000 k-12 students each year in 75 area schools.

Tax deductible tickets to the gala, which is open to the public, are $250 per person. The event features music, Northwest cuisine and an advance peek at nearly every new 2006 model year vehicle — plus the show's special feature displays of super cars, exotics and vintage collectibles.

In addition to Toyota, “First Night for Charity” sponsors include Allstate, GES, KeyBank and Pacific Marketing Partners, Inc. Tickets are available at www.seattleautoshow.com or (206)542-3551.
