Viking Bank’s Kitsap Advisory Board
donates to the HBA
Viking Bank’s Kitsap Advisory Board has approved a $3,200 donation to the Home Builders Association (HBA) of Kitsap County, announced Doug Stephenson, Viking vice president & Kitsap market manager.

The donation will help fund the Association’s technology initiative that will upgrade the membership database to allow for better communication with members on their target issues. The initiative will also improve the management software that tracks legislative, regulatory and civic issues in which the Association is actively participating or monitoring. Funding will also be allocated to enhance the Association’s website to provide members better access to the government affairs section that deals with information on government processes, meetings and issues.

“Viking Bank and its Kitsap Advisory Board believe it is vital to ensure the future viability of Kitsap as a superior choice for business and residents’ quality of life,” according to Stephenson. “The values of the Home Builders Association of Kitsap County speak to these objectives, which is why we’re very excited to partner with them and provide whatever support possible,” he added. With the Viking Bank funding secured, the Association is in a position to produce “deliverables” sooner than not.

“The Home Builders Association is excited that Viking Bank is supporting our efforts to better communicate and provide government affairs information to our members by enhancing technology. This donation will enable us to have several major upgrades by the end of summer,” according to Art Castle, executive vice president of the HBA.
