The Best Western Bremerton Inn is managed by Jim and Sandy McKenzie. They offer a small conference room suitable for 45 people that rents for $80.00 per day. “We have a good extended continental breakfast that includes muffins, waffles, tea and coffee,” said McKenzie.

Other features include two Jacuzzi-equipped suites — one for smokers and one for non-smokers, a hot tub and heated outdoor pool, and a small exercise room. McKenzie said The Best Western Bremerton Inn is centrally located and is on Bremerton’s main bus route. Corporate, group, and extended-stay per diem rates are available.

The 105-room hotel has 24 suites with kitchenettes, offering microwaves, refrigerators and wet bars. Also 9 of the 24 suites will have jetted tubs and waterfront views. Other features include a large outside spa. Fax and copy machine business support is available at the front desk.

The Manor Farm Inn is owned and operated by Janet Plemmons. The Inn, a converted dairy farm, has six guest rooms and two dining rooms. The dining rooms can be converted into conference space and, depending on configuration, the larger is capable of holding up to 25 persons and the smaller room can hold 15. Food is prepared on site by the Inn’s restaurant Rates for the dining/conference rooms are negotiable. Presentation equipment is available for rent from an off site source.

The Manor Farm Inn is, “a tranquil retreat for people looking to get away,” according to owner Janet Plemmons.

Red Lion Silverdale Hotel

The Red Lion Silverdale Hotel is a very capable conference facility. The large ballroom can hold up to 250 people when configured for meal service, or 300 without meals. For smaller groups, the ballroom can be divided three ways. The ballroom’s rate of $1200 per day is negotiable depending upon the amount of food purchased.

The hotel also offers boardrooms of various sizes ranging in cost from $100 to $150 per day, suitable to accommodate 12 to 50 people.

Business support includes use of the hotel’s copy and fax machines and data ports. A full complement of audio-visual equipment is available for rent. Teleconferencing is also available through a local contractor.

Hotel amenities include a gym, tennis courts, indoor heated pool and Jacuzzi. Also, complimentary plug & play Hi-Speed Internet is available in every guest room, and complimentary WI-FI.

Selah Inn

The Selah Inn in Belfair offers a quiet place for an organization to meet. The 50-seat room rents for $200 per day. A smaller room seats 12 to 14 people for $100 per day. Food is prepared on site. Sound and other presentation equipment is available. The large room has data ports for seven computer stations. Fax and copy machines are available.

General Manager, Bonnie McCullogh said the Selah Inn “Is only 75 minutes from Olympia or Seattle. We will fit our schedule to the conference’s schedule,” adding, “We are small scale and can even adapt meals to fit the schedule.

Admiral Theatre

The Admiral Theatre in Bremerton was built in 1941. It operated until 1988 when the propagation of multiplex mall theaters put it out of the popular film business. The Admiral Theatre Foundation Board renovated the building and reopened it as a performing arts theatre and community events venue in 1997.

Aside from theater productions, Admiral Theatre Business Manager, Brian Johnson, says the theater is commonly used for business meetings and conferences, banquets, proms, class reunions, and much more.

The theater is capable of seating a maximum of 999 persons — 497 on the main floor and 502 in the balcony. The floor seats 304 when configured cabaret-style. Rates vary with requirements and type of client (e.g. commercial vs. non-profit).

The Admiral Theatre features exclusive catering service from Simon August Fine Catering. The theater is equipped with a holding kitchen and cleaning facilities. The caterer can serve sit-down or buffet type meals but logistics generally limit meals to groups of 304 and fewer.

Electronic presentation equipment, copy and fax machines are available. Hourly and daily paid parking is available in the theater’s vicinity. Free parking is available on the street for evening events and at reduced rates for Admiral Theatre patrons after 5 p.m. in designated lots.

Kitsap Pavilion

Kitsap Pavilion is part of the Kitsap County Parks and Recreation Department. It is managed by Lauren Erickson and Frank Abbott. The facility comprises four separate rooms: the 43,000 square-foot Kitsap Pavilion, which can seat 4300; the 20,000 square-foot President’s Hall, which can seat 1000; the Eagles Room, with seating for 106; and the 82-seat Training room.

The Pavilion rents for $2200 per day, the President’s Hall goes for $1000 per day or $500 for a half of the building, the Eagles Room for $35 an hour, and the Training Room for $30 an hour including tables and chairs. Copy and fax machines are available for a fee. Audio-visual equipment is available for rent in nearby Silverdale. Eagle’s Nest Catering on the fairgrounds is not Pavilion’s exclusive caterer.

Kiana Lodge

Despite its name, Kiana Lodge is a day facility only that can accommodate groups up to 1000 guests. The Main Lodge can seat 70 for dinner in the dining room; the Garden Atrium approximately 700 inside, for corporate groups, and are connected by a covered walkway. All catering in done “in house” and is internationally known for its Northwest Salmon meal or can customize. Rental fees vary according to your group and its needs. This is also a very popular site for outdoor weddings and for the third year in a row Seattle’s Bride Magazine voted Kiana Lodge the best “largest outdoor reception area.” Kiana Lodge is not open to the public but for private group reservations only by car or charter boat.

Kiana Lodge was built in the late 1930’s as a community clubhouse, it was purchased by several private owners after the war. Robert Riebe bought it in the late 1970’s and turned it into one of the most beautiful Northwest Gardens. Port Madison Enterprises, the financial arm of the Suquamish Tribe, bought the lodge in 2004. It continues on in the same tradition and excellence as the last 25 years. Guests can wander among the fragrant cedars, stroll the beach down the 1000 feed of no-bank waterfront to the deep-water dock, and watch a heron or bald eagle catch a salmon or just sit back and enjoy the serenity of “the garden of the gods.”

The Kitsap Conference Center at Bremerton Harborside will offer views of Sinclair Inlet, onsite catering and abundant secured parking. The 10,000 square foot event center will accommodate parties of 10 to 750 guests. Pricing is tailored to the customers’ needs and requirements.

Additional amenities are the 105-room hotel across the plaza, the latest in audio/visual equipment, just a few steps from the ferry, public steps and plaza, waterfront views, marina and adjacent to a variety of retail shops.

Kitsap Golf and Country Club

The Kitsap Golf and Country Club is located in Chico between Silverdale and Bremerton. The ballroom is capable of seating 300 people for meals or 500 people theater-style. The dining room can comfortably seat 75. It is a private club and the ballroom cost for non-members is $600 for four hours, $300 for members. The dining room costs $400 for non-members, $200 for members. Sound and other presentation equipment is available on site, as are copy and fax machines.

Food services are available exclusively through the restaurant on the premises. The appeal of the club, said general manager, Joe Iwaniec, “...is our unique setting.”

McCormick Woods

McCormick Woods has four meeting rooms that can hold from 10 to 160 people, and up to 350 people if outside seating is used. A tent is also available for outside events that can seat up to 150 people. Megan Snow, McCormick’s catering manager said they customize the rooms to suit each function.

Room costs, therefore, are determined by services, and range from $50 to $600 for four hours. Electronic presentation equipment is available as are phone lines, fax machine and copiers. Olympic Lodge

If you are a member of the military or DoD, or are sponsored by such a person, consider the Olympic Lodge for your next conference. They offer a meeting space capable of seating from 100 (cabaret-style) to 350 (theatre-style). The facility is also divisible into four separate rooms: Mt. Eleanor and Mt. Jupiter, each capable of seating 20 to 50; and Mt. Constance and The Brothers, each capable of seating 60 to 110. Full catering services are available through West Sound Catering, and Olympic Lodge offers audio/visual equipment for presentations. Room costs vary with meal packages and time of day.

Seabeck Conference Center

Perhaps you belong to a non-profit organization looking for a quiet location to conduct your annual planning conference. Why not Seabeck? The Seabeck Conference Center was started by the Seattle YMCA in 1915 and, according to SCC Executive Director, Larry Hill, “It is the oldest conference center in Washington State.”

Commonly used for retreats by religious groups and for meetings by service organizations, the Seabeck Conference Center has 13 meeting rooms capable of seating from 12 to 250 people, and 100 guest rooms. Costs for overnight accommodations vary. Rates range from $58 to $78 per person per day, which includes meals and lodging. The Center has overhead projectors, TV/VCRs and newsprint charts available. Business support includes copiers, fax machines, and telephone lines.

The Seabeck Conference Center is available to organizations with IRS tax designation 501C3.

Trident Ballroom

The Plaza Ballroom holds 500 persons. Room costs vary with services. Full catering services are available through West Sound Catering. Westbay Banquet Center is located in downtown Port Orchard, formerly home of the late 1960’s and early 1970’s hot spot – “The Beachcomber.”

The Westbay holds 250 and rents for $100 an hour during the week; the weekend rental is $850 and includes tables, chairs, linens and china. With abundant parking Westbay is available for weddings, receptions, reunions, and business conferences. Tuckers Restaurant offers a blend of casual dining, good service and views of the Olympic Mountains. With a spacious deck, it’s perfect for summer barbecues and cocktail parties. The Cascade Room, just off Tucker’s, provides a space as a meeting room for conferences and small corporate retreats. Flanked by pine and fir, the Olympic Pavilion is free from the interruption by activities elsewhere in the clubhouse. Both the Cascade Room and the Olympic Pavilion can seat up to 200 people depending on the event. During the off-peak season, Tuckers offers a smaller room that can handle up to 50 people.

Harmony Hill, a nonprofit retreat facility, located on the south shore of Hood Canal, with a rustic lodge and stone fireplace, extensive gardens and walking labyrinths, is available for rent by businesses, civic, educational and community groups, nonprofits, government organizations, families, and faith groups.

Available for both single-day and overnight events, the facilities include fireside meeting spaces, meals prepared by the kitchen staff, and use of the gardens, grounds and labyrinths.

Currently, it can accommodate groups of up to 30 for day use, and 16 for overnight. The overnight capacity will increase to 27 beginning June 15, when the new guest lodge becomes available.

Income from group rentals provides support for cancer retreats and wellness programs, which are offered at no cost to participants.

Additional amenities included an exercise room, outdoor pool and hot tub as well as guest laundry facilities on the property. Poulsbo Inn plans to expand to 83 rooms in 2006.
