Cathy Florenzen has been hired as general manager for Harbor Place at Cottesmore, a retirement and assisted living center in Gig Harbor opening its doors this fall. She will oversee daily operations at Harbor Place, which will provide 60 assisted living apartments and 40 retirement living apartments in a campus setting.

Over the last ten years, Florenzen was director of nursing services at assisted living and retirement centers in Tacoma, Kent and Bremerton. In addition, she brings to Harbor Place over 25 years of nursing experience encompassing emergency care, critical care, quality assurance and utilization.

Together with Cottesmore of Life Care, Harbor Place will create a complete campus environment providing a full continuum of care for its residents. Cottesmore of Life Care is a 104-bed nursing and rehabilitation center located next door to Harbor Place. Harbor Place is expected to open to new residents by November 2005.
