KPS Health Plans launches new Web site

Bremerton-based KPS Health Plans has launched a new website at www.kpshealthplans.com. Taking advantage of new technology, the updated, and more user-friendly site provides easy access to search for providers, get quotes online and find health plan information and more. KPS’ first site was launched in September 1999.

The updated site features a new MedImpact Member Portal that enhances members’ ability to access prescription benefit and drug coverage details, as well as view comprehensive health and wellness information from well-known WebMD. After a one-time registration, members will have secure, 24/7 access to their pharmacy benefit information. The health and wellness information provided by WebMD includes the latest medical news, a suite of health-related articles, interactive tools and a detailed disease and condition guide.

“Our goal in designing the new website was to utilize intuitive navigational tools to help visitors find the information they are looking for quickly and easily with a minimum of ’clicks,” commented Elizabeth Gilje, president of KPS Health Plans. “We are particularly excited about the new MedImpact Member Portal; because it provides a tool to help our members manage their own prescription costs. By highlighting generic availability, this tool will help our members identify alternatives within a drug class that may be available at a lower cost.“

The Formulary Lookup also includes a price quote option that allows KPS members to obtain a cost estimate for a specific medication. A Pharmacy Locator is also included to help identify pharmacies that serve their pharmacy benefit plan, as well as search for pharmacies that are open 24 hours a day. Members can also print out a prescription history to share with their physician or for tax and flexible spending purposes.
