State of the art medical building
in Silverdale nears completion

Principal construction is complete on the Salmon Medical Center, a state-of-the-art multi-specialty medical building in Silverdale that will house the Doctor’s Clinic. Designed by Morss Medical Architecture of Bainbridge Island, the three-story 56,000 square foot facility, located at 2200 Myhre Road, will be completed this month. The project is within sight of Harrison Hospital’s Silverdale campus.

“We designed this building to be staff and patient friendly,” said project architect Jim Morss, whose firm is dedicated exclusively to the design of medical facilities. “A simple example is it must be easy for a patient to find parking; to find the main entry and to find their way once inside the building. Another major feature of this building is its special composite floor system designed to eliminate vibration from passing traffic. This is especially important during delicate medical procedures.”

Special features of this building are:

  • A large roof overhang to protect the building from rain
  • Bold red brick with white stripe exterior
  • A two story glass atrium entry
  • Specialty suites of Orthopedics, Dermatology/ENT and Ophthalmology
  • Imaging Center with CT, MRI and general radiology
  • Ambulatory Surgery Center
  • Endoscopy Center

Tim Ryan Construction of Poulsbo is the general contractor on the project.
