SPECIAL REPORT - RETIREMENT LIFESTYLES
Volunteers needed to help the elderly

Winter has definitely arrived and many low-income seniors and disabled adults in our communities are in need of a little assistance to get through winter.

Volunteer Chore Service (VCS), a program of Catholic Community Services is a non-profit organization that helps keep low-income seniors and disabled adults in their own home as long as it is safely possible. The program is able to accomplish this with the help of an assortment of volunteers. Individuals, community youth programs, church and military groups and individuals who are doing some community service are welcome.

Services VCS volunteers provide are, but not limited to, driving clients to the grocery store and medical appointments, run errands, light housekeeping, yard care, minor household repairs, moving assistance and cut and/or deliver wood. Mileage reimbursement is available.

Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer for Volunteer Chore Services, contact: Donna Jones, Volunteer Program Coordinator at (360) 405-9486.
