In response to the growing demand for health care information, the Medicare Rights Center (MRC), a national nonprofit consumer group has developed a state of the art web-based counseling tool, Medicare Interactive (MI), to provide user-friendly consumer information about state and federal benefits, rights and options for older and disabled Americans. The web site is designed for multiple audiences, including human resources professionals, healthcare professionals, caregivers, and people with Medicare.
MI is also available for private licensing and can be customized to meet client needs.
Many older adults and people with disabilities have trouble getting the health care they need because clear, meaningful answers to health care questions are hard to find, said Diane Archer, founder of the MRC. Benefit managers and human resource departments can use Medicare Interactive to help retirees and people with disabilities coordinate retiree coverage with Medicare.
MI weaves together state and federal health care information from the basics of the various Medicare plan options to the details of getting home health care. The web-tool can be modified to include a companys specific benefit plan. MI is designed for professionals and consumers with all levels of health care expertise to provide clear answers on Medicare and state-specific coverage, case examples, frequently asked questions, and links to related sites. The site is updated daily to keep up with the rapidly changing health care field. |
