Gym at the Pavilion adds equipment
and expands massage therapy

The Gym at the Pavilion recently acquired a Pilates Reformer and is holding training sessions for members.

Betsy Emison, a STOTT Pilates trained and certified instructor, is available to conduct private lessons on Wed., Fri. and Sat. mornings from 7 a.m. to noon.

Pilates is a conditioning program that simultaneously stretches and strengthens the deep abdominal and back muscles which enhances posture and trunk stability while trimming and toning the body. Pilates is designed to work for everyone from the most physically fit to the elderly.

In addition to the added equipment the Gym is introducing two new therapists to its team of fitness experts.

Among the new hires is Wendy Becker, LMP, who brings years of training and experience to the massage table and therapist Johnny LeBord who specializes in REIKI — a form of energy healing, relaxation, swedish and systemic deep tissue therapy massage.

Massages are by appointment only and are available Mon. thru Fri. 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sat. and Sun. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call (206) 855-0880 to make an appointment. Massages range from 30 to 90 minutes and cost $35 to $80. Gift certificates are available.
