KeyBanks Online Banking and Investing clients now can manage certificates of deposit (CDs) online using a patent-pending process. Key is the only financial services company to offer this convenient, easy-to-use, time-saving function.
Before Key implemented online CD portfolio management, a client had to visit a KeyCenter (branch) or use Keys telephone banking center to close the CD or change terms when it reached its maturity date. Now, they can select a new CD account type, alter the upcoming term and even change the investment amount all at their convenience from any Web-enabled PC.
This is the most convenient method for managing your CDs, said Jim Washam, President of KeyBanks South Puget Sound District. Our clients constantly ask for more online functionality. With online CD management, Key has taken a giant step forward, and is the only bank in the country that offers this online solution.
Clients may use the Change CD Options feature at any time during the grace period. The feature is accessed directly from their CD Account Details Page. During the renewal process the client is able to review current rates, and terms ranging from seven days to 10 years. They can transfer money into the renewing CD, or transfer some or all of the funds into another Key account. In the final step, the client is able to print a confirmation of the transaction for their records. The entire change process takes less than five minutes. |
