Jeannee Renee Brown makes sure
you look good
By Linda Thomson

Do you need a makeover? Jeannee Renee’s Salon in Silverdale may not be able to schedule you as soon as you want, but according to owner Jeannee Renee Brown, any wait will be worth it!

Throughout 31 years in the beauty business, she’s stayed up with the latest trends, fashions and styles by ongoing education and a passion for her work.

Jeannee Renee is constantly looking at people and thinking of what specifically will help improve their looks. Some people are stuck in a rut with a decades-old hairstyle. Perhaps the length or color is not best for their face. “If you place your trust in me, I can put all the elements of youth and style in your grasp,” she says.

She does permanent make-up at Esthetics Northwest on the upper level of her building. Additionally, she leases space to a couple of manicurists and a massage therapist. The beauty shop has nine stations and seven stylists, and “all of them are really good,” according to Jeannee Renee.

When it comes to hairstyles, she believes the hair needs to move, so it shouldn’t be too long. She’s cut a lot of ponytails off lately, donating the hair to Locks of Love for children undergoing cancer treatments. She rarely does permanents anymore.

She does facial chemical peels, which exfoliates the skin, eliminating some of the lines on the face. Another procedure is microdermabrasion, or removal of dead skin layers, which allows the beauty products used to actually penetrate into the skin and do their job. She will learn about a person’s lifestyle, medications, products used, and anything else that will impact the work she is investing in them.

Damage to the skin or the hair doesn’t happen overnight, and it may take various steps and stages to repair that damage.

When Jeannee Renee works on your hair or skin, she feels invested. She smiles as she tells clients, “That’s my hair. You just wear it.” And she expects those folks to follow her directions by using the appropriate products that will keep her work looking good.

Jeannee Renee’s Salon doesn’t carry many product lines, but the ones they have are outstanding, with the best combination of ingredients for the desired outcome. Of course, it all keeps her clients look their best, and that gives them confidence in all areas of life.

Jeannee Renee knows that women can usually be made to look years younger without surgery. But there are a few times when she has felt compelled to refer someone to a plastic surgeon or to a dermatologist.

No one can doubt Jeannee Renee’s enthusiasm for her work. But her husband and two children come first. She took some time off about three years ago when her then-teenaged son was in an accident that left him paralyzed. He’s made great progress, and she has been learning all she can about the latest research in that area. Her favorite charities now are Children’s Hospital and Shriners Hospital.

Jeannee Renee claims God has given the strength to help her carry on with her lifelong work of caring for people, bringing out the very best in each one.
