Dont let your first warning be your last. If you have any of these symptoms, call 911 immediately. They could be the warning sign of a heart attack.
- Chest discomfort or pressure, often mistaken for heartburn or indigestion.
- Pain that spreads to the shoulders, neck, and arms even jaws or teeth.
- Weakness, shortness of breath, sweating, nausea, or dizziness.
Not all of these signs take place in every attack. Sometimes they subside and then return. Most heart disease is preventable. Do any of the following apply to you?
- Family history of heart disease
- Cholesterol above 200
- Blood pressure exceeding 140/90
- Smoker
- Diabetes
- High stress
- Little or no exercise
