Harrison Home Health scores
above average in Medicare rating system

Harrison Home Health scored above state and national averages in Home Health Compare, a new federal government rating system for home health agencies, published recently. The good news comes on the heels of a deficiency-free Medicare survey conducted in the fall by the Washington State Department of Health.

The federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid created Home Health Compare to help families and physicians make informed choices about home care agencies. The rating system is based on 11 measures of how well agencies care for their patients in areas relating to patient mobility; meeting basic daily needs, such as help with dressing; medical emergencies; and mental health status.

“We’re pleased to offer consumers this research tool and especially are pleased with our results,” says Harrison Home Health Director Dianna Blom. “Our own internal patient satisfaction survey shows that our patients are very happy with the care they receive and feel our staff are compassionate. Physicians are equally happy with our services.”.
