SPECIAL REPORT - HEALTHCARE IN KITSAP
Northwoods Lodge awarded top honors

CareScout, a company that monitors cost and quality of care at nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home health agencies nationwide, recently released its performance ratings for government certified nursing homes in the United States.

Updated quarterly, the firm assigns ratings to nursing homes by evaluating government inspection records, quality of life data, and other objective resident care information for all certified facilities.

Ratings designations are AAA, AA, A, B, C and D. To receive a AAA current state rating, facilities must meet exceptional quality of life and care requirements, maintaining full compliance with all eldercare laws and regulations, and be free of any health deficiencies as noted by state and federal officials during the nursing home’s most recent unannounced inspection survey.

The firm recognized a select number of nursing homes throughout the United States, including Northwoods Lodge in Silverdale, for earning a AAA current state rating in its latest ratings, and having maintained a four year historical mark of consecutive AAA current state ratings. Of the 16,400 government certified nursing home facilities in the United States, Only 151 received CareScout’s highest honor.
