The BJC Group Inc, a general contracting and construction management firm based in Port Orchard, recently broke ground on a new Social Security Administration building at 9594 Mickleberry Road in Silverdale.

The 12,000 square foot building is being developed by a private company and will be leased to the Social Security Administration upon completion, which is slated for the end of February 2004.

The project is a design build process, with The BJC Group Inc. serving as the project lead, over seeing design and completing the construction. Other local firms working on the project include Pacific Electric Co, Sullivan Heating, Silverdale Plumbing and Fox Fire Prevention.
