Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings (LabCorp) announced that its Dynacare Inc. laboratory located at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton has been awarded an accreditation by the College of American Pathologists (CAP).

Laboratories accredited by CAP meet exacting standards set by CAP’s Commission on Laboratory Accreditation. To be awarded accreditation, laboratories are inspected by a private, not-for-profit accrediting organization approved by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). These organizations ensure laboratories meet the high CAP standards and use appropriate quality control and quality assurance procedures to benefit patients.

Harrison ER Expansion on schedule
Harrison Hospital reports the expansion portion of its emergency room project is on schedule for completion in early December. Renovations of the existing ER will begin thereafter.
