The Silverdale design firm of Atelier Northwest, Inc. recently celebrated the fact it has been providing quality building design and consulting services to Kitsap County and the surrounding areas for 25 years.

Tom Leggiere formed the business in Tracyton in June 1978 under the name of Designs Northwest. In a 1981 expansion, Leggiere was joined by Architect David Grellier. They moved to new offices in East Bremerton. The partnership was incorporated in July 1982, and the company was subsequently renamed Atelier Northwest, Inc. Leggiere left to pursue other ventures in 1989 while Grellier continued operations assisted by a loyal and competent staff.

During the past 25 years, Atelier Northwest, Inc. has completed over 2,300 projects ranging in scope from brief consultations to the design of numerous custom homes and several significant local buildings. These include the Silverdale Main Post Office, the Kitsap Humane Society and the Land Title Building.
