Lennox Scott honored with
WAR President’s Award

J. Lennox Scott, chairman and CEO of John L. Scott Real Estate, was honored with the prestigious president’s award by the Washington Association of REALTORS, on April 23 at the association’s annual awards banquet in Seattle.

Unlike most awards, the President’s Award is not given annually. It is only awarded at the discretion of the Realtor Association’s president. The award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated a significant commitment to community service, professionalism, industry innovation, and the Realtor Association on a local, state, and national level.

“Each year the Washington Association of Realtors recognizes nine outstanding Realtor members for their contributions to the industry and the community. In the 48 years that the Association has celebrated these awards, there have been few individuals whose contributions to the community and the industry have been so profound as to warrant the rare and special recognition of the Presidents Award,” said Steve Francks, executive vice president of the Washington Association of Realtors, “Lennox Scott is one such individual.”

Scott is the third generation to run John L. Scott Real Estate, a family business founded in Seattle in 1931 by his grandfather. Scott began his career in real estate in 1976, taking over as president of the company in 1980, and then as Chairman and CEO in 2002.
