SPECIAL REPORT - EXECUTIVE GIFT GIVING
This year’s high tech gift
giving is better than ever
By Carol Kleiva

We’ve all seen cell phones get smaller and do more than we ever thought. This years cellular products get the professional even closer to a true mobile office. Out now are phones with camera attachments, color screens, and high-speed Internet access. The only thing missing is Captain Kirk.

Know someone that uses a headset constantly for his or her cell phone? Try going wireless! With blue tooth technology, wireless headsets give up to 30 feet of freedom without being tethered to your cell phone. Universal models make it possible to add to any phone with a headset jack. True, My Big Fat Greek Wedding may have been a different film had the main character worn a wireless headset, but the benefits are weighing heavily in favor of no wires.

Sending text messages from your cell phone has become easier. Some newer model cell phones have plug in keyboards that reduce the hunting and pecking.

Wireless cellular modems for your laptop are just becoming available and the benefits are exciting. With speeds faster than some desktop computers, your laptop becomes more useful than ever. From ferry commuters, to real estate agents, to college students, anyone who needs mobile internet access would love this kind of tool. Cellular modems require calling plans and service contracts. They also depend on cellular signals to work.

For your golfing executive, add a flip down TV screen to the golf cart. Keeping the “M’s” game in sight while on the course is far out fun.

Don’t leave the boaters out, give ‘em a set of marine speakers for great tunes on the water.

Another cool executive gift is a warm car. Remote start can be added to most new cars. With a touch of a button, your car will defrost before you are out the door. On dark cold winter days, leaving work and getting in a warmed up car can’t be beat (Works great in hot weather climates, think air conditioning…).

Have a pile of home theater gear from last year that isn’t set up properly? Call for a professional to install it.

For the time compressed person that has everything, what about computer training classes? Professional computer trainers can come to you, help brush up on some things and teach time saving tips for others. A few sessions tailored to exactly what you want to learn is a great time saver and gift idea. Have fun shopping and Happy Holidays!
