A phone that takes photos?

Hold it right there. I want to take a picture of you with my telephone.

Don’t call the cops or the nearest mental institution. AT&T has introduced – in a dozen major markets – a service that offers a special camera-equipped cellular phone and the ability to use the wireless phone to send the photos by e-mail.

The service costs as little as $2.99 a month extra on your cellular bill. You also need one of the phones offered for sale by AT&T. Since there are several plans with varied pricing, you can check out the costs as a special Web page set up to explain costs for each plan: www.attwireless.com/mmode. You can also get details at AT&T Wireless stores.
