Teri Hewson of John L. Scott Real Estate in Poulsbo recently listed and sold a property in with a price in excess of $1 million — $1.2 million to be exact. The property was Hood Canal waterfront, and included a 6,000 square foot home on five acres.

“This sets a new benchmark for residential in North Kitsap,” said Hewson. “If this had been on Bainbridge Island it would have been in excess of $2 million.

The buyer was a doctor and his wife from out of town who had come here to work.

“What is really surprising is that there were three or four other parties that would have stepped up to the plate had this deal not went together,” added Hewson.” What surprises me even more, is that there is that level of market interest in that price range off of Bainbridge Island.”.
