| The 2002 Expanding Your Horizons conference, a science and mathematics program targeted to fifth through eighth grade girls, is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Saturday, March 23 at Olympic College’s Bremer Student Center.
The registration deadline is March 8 with a cost of $7.50 for students, $10 for adults, $15 for adult and student attending together. Scholarships are available. The first 200 registrants will receive free gifts.
Women involved in math and science will lead hands-on workshops for the girls. There will also be a workshop for adults. Registration forms are available through the counseling centers in all the local school districts, the Girl Scouts, and the YMCA.
