| The Kitsap Family YMCA offers numerous recreational and exercise opportunities for seniors, including swimming, specialized exercise classes, easy to use exercise machines, aerobics and cycling. There’s also an indoor walking/running track plus a hot tub, sauna and steam room. The facility also boasts a qualified staff to assist seniors on starting a basic workout routine.
Many seniors enjoy using the activity room after a workout to visit with friends and enjoy complimentary coffee or tea.
The YMCA also has many volunteer opportunities available. One class that really appeals to seniors is the Selective Swim program for handicapped children, which is held on Friday mornings.
