| Bainbridge Island’s Northwest Network Services Inc., parent company of NorthsoundNet and BainbridgeNet Internet Services, is now offering registration service for the newest Top Level Domain (TLD), .INFO.
Until this year, .com, .net and .org were the only global Top Level Domains (gTLDs) available for public registration. In response to the rapid adoption and expansion of the Internet, ICANN recently approved seven new gTLDs, the first of which is .info. Since the new domain is the only new “unrestricted” one out of the seven new gTLDs, it is expected to be widely accepted as the one true alternative to the existing .com .net and .org domains.
