SPECIAL TRIBUTE
Pauline Deschamps – A Business Woman
Editor’s Note:

We would like to dedicate this section to the late Pauline Deschamps. Pauline, who passed away last year, epitomized the successful business woman.

Before she opened her real estate brokerage on Bainbridge Island, she spent many years in the business world in Seattle — long before women were accepted the way they are today. She helped pioneer the way for women in business without compromising her femininity, or her integrity. She was the definition of the word “Lady” while also being an inspiration to those who served under her.

Pauline believed there was no substitute for market and product knowledge or preparedness, and that was part of the secret to her success — knowing more than her competition and always being better prepared.

Over the years, she mentored a number of successful business people — both male and female. A smart, savvy, and competitive woman with a strong personality, she was also a very kind, caring and giving person.

For all that she was, and all those she helped, we dedicate this to her.
