| The Holly Ridge Center recently extended a big, public “Thank You” to the Navy personnel stationed at Naval Submarine Base Bangor who volunteered their time and muscle to help set up temporary classrooms for the Gateway Project childcare center. The facility is located at 120 Washington Ave. in downtown Bremerton.
SH2 (SW) Paul Swank, MM2 Shannon McCall, CM2 Eddie George, BM3 Marcus Jones, SR John Mitchell, ABEAA Jacob Reyes and MMFN Nicholas Wallace all participated in moving children’s furniture and toys to the center.
“The City of Bremerton is very close to navy,” Swank said. “The whole town is based on Navy, so we feel comfortable. People always welcome us, when we’re involved in community activities.”. |
