Key.com experiences dramatic growth
Key.com, the Web site of Key Bank, an integrated provider of financial services, has launched a phased program of upgrades and enhancements designed to improve the site, already rated as one of the best for online banking and financial services.

Key has offered online banking and related services for more than three years, but has experienced dramatic growth over the past twelve months in both individual clients and small businesses. It’s online customer base has grown 150 percent during the past year and nearly 15 percent of Key’s checking account customers now use its Online Banking and Investing services.

Customers can access product and service information, current interest rates, account balances, and self-help questionnaires and calculators. They can complete online applications for products and participate in live online chats with financial planning specialists. The site provides multiple solutions for consideration and actionable advice.

Visitors can also sign up for catastrophic accidental disability coverage online through a link to a co-branded Web site with HealthExtras. Underwritten by Federal Insurance Company, the program provides $1 million in the event a person is unable to work due to permanent accidental injury. Visitors can enroll using an online form and providing a credit card number to the secured Web site. For more information, contact HealthExtras at 1-888-668-9125.

This year, for the first time, KeyCorp’s Community Annual Report is available at www.key.com to be read online or printed. The report details activities in each of its regions, and focuses on major initiatives, such as corporate support for Habitat for Humanity and United Way, as well as smaller regional projects. The site also includes Key’s corporate giving guidelines and emphasis on annual activities such the corporate-wide ‘Neighbors Make the Difference Day.’

Organizations seeking support from Key will soon be able to complete requests online to be reviewed by local district contributions committees. Related Retail bank pages, such as Community Development Lending, will also eventually have links to and from the Community Affairs site.
