| The county’s Salmon Advisory Committee recently issued its final ranking of 59 recommendations to the county commissioners. The recommendations are the basis of the county’s salmon recovery proposal to NMFS.
The Kitsap County Homebuilders Association’s (HBA) green building program, Build A Better Kitsap, was ranked No. 5 by the committee.
According to HBA Governmental Affairs Director Alan Martin, the ranking was a welcome surprise in view of the fact the committee is comprised of 30 citizens representing diverse interests such as tribes, environment, real estate, private homeowners, government regulators, planning commissioners and developers. |
