| The Norwest Mortgage signs are already being replaced locally with new ones that read Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. On April 17, Norwest Mortgage officially changed its name to Wells Fargo at all of the company’s more than 1,100 locations nationwide. The two firms merged in 1998.
“We’re extremely excited about our name change,” said Wayne Jones, branch manager of the Silverdale office. “Nearly nine out of every 10 Americans already know and trust the Wells Fargo brand. Our new name however, doesn’t change our commitment to our Kitsap and Peninsula-area customers.”. |
