| Georg Syvertsen has assumed ownership of Deschamps Real Estate on Bainbridge Island. He recently bought the company from Robert Deschamps, husband of the late Pauline Deschamps, who founded and ran the agency for the past four decades until she passed away unexpectedly on February 5.
Syvertsen, who was originally hired by Pauline Deschamps in August of 1977, said he plans no changes in the way the firm has done business for the past 44 years. “I’ve been with the company for 22 years and managed it for Pauline for 20. Consequently, things really aren’t changing. We’re just maintaining and operating the company just as we always have.”
He also said he was proud of the fact that once the sale was announced, all of the firm’s agents elected to stay.
“Pauline had a well oiled machine here and that’s how I intend to keep it,” Syvertsen said. He also added he’ll stay active in sales. “I’ve always enjoyed selling, and always will.”
