Hayes tapped as communications director at OC
Jennifer Hayes has been named as Communications Director for Olympic College (OC). In that slot she will be responsible for communications, marketing, and policy support for the Bremerton, Poulsbo, and Shelton campuses. Additionally, she will manage college relationships with business, industry, legislators, and government agencies.

Hayes replaces DeAnna Kauzlaric, who retired after 27 years at OC. Healthcare cost trends raise
small business fears
The latest surveys indicate small business will be facing the fifth year of double-digit growth in health care premiums while preparing 2005 budgets.

The latest study by Small Business Digest indicated 47 percent of respondents were reducing or eliminating healthcare contributions and/or shifting more of the costs to employees.

Another study, by the Kaiser Family Foundation and the Health Research and Educational Trust says there are at least five million fewer jobs providing health insurance in 2004 than in 2001.
