State Realtors group announces
endorsements in 8 statewide races
The Washington Association of Realtors’ political action committee announced endorsements in six statewide races:
  • Dino Rossi, Governor
  • Brad Owen, Lieutenant Governor
  • Rob McKenna, Attorney General
  • Sam Reed, Secretary of State
  • Brian Sonntag, Auditor
  • Doug Sutherland, Commissioner of Public Lands
  • Terry Bergeson, Superintendent of Public Instruction
  • Mike Kriedler, Insurance Commissioner

In each of the 2004 and 2006 election cycles, Washington Realtors spent approximately $500,000 to support Democrats and Republicans alike who are committed to encouraging economic vitality, providing housing opportunities, and building better communities. In the 2004 and 2006 elections more than 90-percent of candidates whom the Realtors endorsed won their races.

The Association’s endorsement process includes consideration by an interview team composed of Realtors from communities throughout the state. The team carefully considers each candidate’s electability, professional background, and positions on issues affecting our state’s quality of life.

The candidates endorsed by the Association today are strong supporters of Realtors and committed to the Association’s “Quality of Life” priorities of homes, jobs and healthy communities.
