HBA installs officers and directors,
announces 2007 award recipients
Association honors Bremerton Mayor Cary Bozeman
as Public Official of the Year

The Home Builders Association of Kitsap County recently held its annual installation and awards banquet at the Silverdale Beach Hotel.

Installed as president was Robert Lubowicki of Arborview Construction in Kingston; first vice president, Rick Cadwell, Pacific Heights Construction; second vice president Ron Perkerewicz of JCM Property Management; treasurer, Randy Biegenwald, CPA and as secretary, Dee Coppola of Wet Apple Media.

Also installed were local Builder Directors. They are: Tracy Bushnell, Bushnell Homes; Karla Cook, Cook Construction; and Judy Mentor Eagleson, Mentor Company.

Installed as Associate Directors were Leslie Peterson, Liberty Organizers and Shawnee Spencer of Kitsap Credit Union.

Installed as State Directors were: Robert Coultas of Coultas General Contracting; Lary Coppola, Wet Apple Media; Gale Culbert, Ironwood Builders; Greg Livdahl, Fairbank Construction, Brent Marmon, Pacific Northwest Title, John Armstrong, Armstrong Custom Homes; Justin Ingalls, Kitsap Trident Homes; Rick Courson, Cedar Bay Homes; Charlie Mackall, JAFA Enterprises; Dale Armstrong, JAFA Enterprises; Rick Cadwell, Pacific Heights Construction; Ron Perkerewicz, JCM Property Management; Walter Galitzki, Sun Path Custom Construction; and as alternate State director George Cook of Quadrant Homes.

Each year the HBA recognizes members for their outstanding contribution and efforts on behalf of the association. The 2007 Remodeler of the Year was Robert Coultas of Coultas General Contracting. The 2007 Associate Member of the Year was Lisa Phipps, John L Scott Real Estate. The 2007 Builder Member of the Year honor was awarded to Greg Livdahl, Fairbank Construction and to Dale Armstrong, JAFA Enterprises.

2007 President Jeff Coombe presented Bremerton Mayor Cary Bozeman with the Public Official of the Year Award in recognition of his leadership and enthusiasm for the revitalization of the City of Bremerton, developing creative partnerships and encouraging new housing opportunities. Kitsap County’s Assistant Director of the Department of Community Development was recognized for his contribution to the community and industry with his commitment to excellence and leadership to improve permitting and customer service.

Shawnee Spencer of Kitsap Credit Union was recognized for her continuous commitment and leadership with the HBA Golf Tournament and Peninsula Home & Garden Expo. HBA Executive Vice President Art Castle was also recognized for his leadership and efforts for the Low Impact Development Showcase Project and strategic vision for the association.
