Silverdale listed in best places to live
CNNMoney.com recently released its “Best Places to Live” list and has rated Silverdale number 99th out of 100.

According to a new release, it said, “Now known as the major retail center for Kitsap County, the unincorporated community is home to both quaint shops on the waterfront and Kitsap Mall, one of the largest shopping complexes on the West Sound. Its population is growing steadily, and though the county government benefits from its tax revenues, residents are fervently working to become incorporated within the next year.”

The site listed the population as 17,100, with a 2006 median home price of $314,788 and average property taxes of $2,345.
