| Kitchen and Bath Business magazine (K+BB) has released its 2007 K+BB Market Forecaster, providing information and statistics about kitchen and bath remodeling in the U.S. Based on a survey of 25,000 U.S. households in a demographically matched panel, the 2007 K+BB Market Forecaster offers national outlooks, economic trends and regional data as well as predictions for 2008 and beyond.
The 2007 K+BB Market Forecaster reports that:
- In 2007, kitchen projects are expected to increase 1.2 percent, reaching 6.1 million jobs; spending will rise 6.9 percent to approximately $79 billion.
- In 2007, bath remodeling projects are expected to increase by 10.2 percent to 10.2 million. The total value of these projects is expected to be nearly $39.2 billion.
- High-end projects are expected to increase.
- Of those 6.1 million kitchen jobs, 33.3 percent will involve a professional designer.
