| On Feb. 27, Kitsap County Department of Community Development staff met with residents of Manchester to begin discussions on updating the 2002 Manchester Community Plan. Together, the County and Manchester residents will explore strategies for improving upon the existing 2002 plan as well as addressing needs and issues that have been identified since the original plan was adopted.
Commissioner Jan Angel commented, “I look forward to working with the Manchester community on their vision of what this beautiful area can become.”
Maps and other information were displayed for the meeting, which included discussions of the planning process, community and planning background, community boundaries, and future goals. Subcommittees will be established to study specific issues, and it’s anticipated a draft updated plan will be submitted to the Board of County Commissioners in, or before, the last quarter of this year.
