Scott named one of nation’s 25 most
influential people in real estate industry
J. Lennox Scott, chairman and CEO of John L. Scott Real Estate, has recently been selected by REALTOR Magazine as one of the “25 Most Influential People in Real Estate” in the nation. The list features 25 people from around the United States whose leadership and influence has had an effect on the real estate industry. This is the third time the highly coveted honor has been announced; Scott has been selected each time.

The editors of REALTOR Magazine said that Scott was chosen for embracing technology not only as a means to build businesses, but as a tool to enable personal goals. They also noted: “This third-generation broker is a champion of achieving work-life balance without sacrificing income.”

He was also commended for his work with the John L. Scott Foundation. Through the Foundation, the company supports more than 19 children’s hospitals in the Pacific Northwest. In 2005, Scott headed the effort that raised more than $8 million for children’s health care.

John L. Scott operates eight offices on the Kitsap Peninsula, and Scott himself is a frequent contributor the Business Journal.
