Fred Depee, a Realtor with the Port Orchard office of John L. Scott, has been named by Commissioner Jan Angel to the Kitsap County Planning Commission. His term is for four years.
Angel also reappointed Mike Gustavson to his second term on the commission.
He replaces Monte Mahan, whose term expired at the end of 2006. Mahan, who works as a land use planner in Pierce County, did not seek reappointment.
Depee, who has been in real estate his entire adult life, is well-known and respected in local land use circles. He was an integral part of the Citizen’s Advisory Group, which oversaw the joint Port Orchard-Kitsap County sub-area planning process for the 10-year comp plan update. Because he specializes in finding suitable land for builders, he is also perhaps the single most knowledgeable person in S,K. about actual land conditions and availability there. |
