| The Building Industry Association of Washington (BIAW), in partnership with Washington Association of Building Officials (WABO), has developed a series of workshops addressing the practical applications of the International Residential Code (IRC) specifically prescriptive engineering. Translation: when you need a building engineered and when you dont. The four hour, in code conforming construction methods, as well as clearly define regular vs. irregular buildings and when engineered design is required, and when it isnt. BIAW will partner with WABO to make code books available for purchase at a reduced price. The cost to attend for BIAW members is $75; non-members $150.

- Oct. 4, 8 a.m. 12 p.m. Spokane
- Oct. 12, 8 a.m. 12 p.m. Port Angeles
- Oct. 13, 8 a.m. 12 p.m. Bremerton
