Habitat for Humanity planning mini-blitz build

Habitat for Humanity of Kitsap County is planning mini-blitz build in Suquamish from August 9-13. The location of the blitz build is the corner of South and Urban in Suquamish at 6472 South Street. The home is a four bedroom, one story home that is being built with a low-income family in need of decent housing.

The blitz build will consist of framing the entire house, building a small storage shed, and getting a head start on installing the exterior siding – all in one week. The blitz will accomplish ten weeks worth of work in one week’s time.

For more information about how to get involved, the public is can attend a volunteer orientation which is held every Wed. at 6:30 p.m. at the Habitat office, visit www.kitsaphabitat.org or call (360) 479-3853.
