At the recent International Builders Show, held in Orlando, Fla., the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) renewed its commitment to mainstream home builders who are going green. The show, which drew more than 110,000 attendees, offered builders many different venues to gather information on green building. BuilderBooks.com, the NAHBs on-site bookstore, featured the Sustainable Buildings Industry Councils (SBIC) Green Building Guidelines. A dozen different education programs at the show featured green builders and their stories. There was even a green demonstration home, sponsored by NAHBs Green Building Subcommittee and designed by award-winning architect and author Sarah Susanka. |
