Habitat for Humanity of Kitsap County (HFHKC) has received preliminary plat approval to build its most ambitious project to date, a $1.1 million 18 home Planned Unit Development in Bremerton called New Hope. By September, $350,000 must be raised to keep the construction on this neighborhood on schedule.

Also, HFHCK is seeking volunteers to serve as mentors for future homeowners. The role involves helping to answer questions about the building process or finding the source of the answers, being available to listen and guide families dealing with personal questions and or concerns, encouraging required educational classes/seminars, as well as other related activities.
