Rite Aid could be the next business to join the burgeoning retail development at the corner of Bond and Miller Bay roads just outside of Kingston.
The intersection, known as Georges Corner, is a Limited Area of More Intensive Rural Development (LAMIRD), a zoning designation that allows a pocket of commercial growth in an otherwise rural area.
Rite Aid has submitted a development application for the southeastern lot. Frontier Bank is also in line to locate there. Both will go through a public hearing process.
Two other corners of the crossroads are developed, with Albertsons anchoring one corner and Kountry Korner Grocery and Deli the other.
North Kitsap is primed for growth with the new passenger-only ferry between Kingston and Seattle and the development of several large housing projects, including White Horse south of Kingston. |
