Chris Rieland, president and CEO of Pacific Northwest Title of Kitsap County (PNWT) recently presented a $21,000 check to Kitsap Community Resources (KCR) for its Housing Services Program.

According to Corky Senecal, director of Human Services and Larry Eyer, executive director, the funds will be used to provide rental assistance, emergency shelter, transitional housing and homeless childcare for low-income Kitsap County residents.

Three weeks prior to Christmas, the staff of PNWT held a daily silent auction raising over $780.

Dee Ferguson, who spearheaded the fundraiser, converted the cash to 39 Safeway gift cards that were donated to KCR for those in need of emergency food items or gas.

Also, the PNWT staff provided Thanksgiving dinner as well as Christmas gifts for students at the Alternative School at Central Kitsap High School.
