The third annual “REX” Awards took place on Nov. 4 at the monthly general membership dinner for Home Builders Association of Kitsap County (HBA). The event took place at the Red Lion Silverdale Hotel.
   The Rex (Remodeling of Excellence) Awards gives a remodeler the opportunity to show off his work by submitting an application with before and after pictures of his project. The HBA then brings in three judges from outside Kitsap County to view the entries and vote on the projects, taking into consideration the category chosen, the main objective of the remodel and if the builder succeeded in meeting the unique design solutions, efficient use of space and quality of workmanship.
   The evening’s big winner was Michael Glading of Accurate Builders, who took three of the five categories. This year’s categories and winners were:

• Residential Bath Over $25,000 –

• Residential Whole House Under $75,000 –

  Michael Glading, CGR, CAPS, Accurate Builders
  
  
• Residental Speciality/Open –
  Alan Chessman, Chessman Woodworking & Construction.
