Beginning on Aug. 2, the county commissioners will hold a series of public hearings on the proposed changes to the Kitsap County Comprehensive Plan and to consider testimony on the Planning Commissions findings of fact. They will take place from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Presidents Hall.
The county commissioners decision are expected to make a decision on all the proposed changes to the comp plan on Tuesday, Aug. 10 (from 9 a.m. to noon) during a special hearing where they will continue to hear from citizens and discuss testimony.
Finally, the commissioners will hear testimony on the adoption ordinance, which will be officially presented to them by staff at a public hearing slated for Aug. 23. Their action to enact the authorizing ordinance will be Aug. 30. That is a decision only meeting and no additional testimony will be taken. |
